Copy Jam
We had to design a circuit that would be able to detect a "copy jam" and set off a buzzer and led in real life. A copy jam is whenever two neighboring photo transistors get covered.
Unsimplified expression:
A'BC+ABC'+ABC
A'BC+ABC'+ABC
Simplified expression:
AB+BC
AB+BC
These resistors allow the current to go back to default when nothing is detected by the photo transistors
The use of combination logic allows for the separate use of the buzzer and photo transistors
Flip flops make sure that once triggered the buzzer will sound even if there is nothing detected anymore.
Because the buzzer is triggered from the Flip Flop so it won't disable unless the circuit is cleared, while the LED only activates when two of the neighboring photo transistors are covered.
Conclusion:
This project differs from the previous ones a it implements the use of combination logic and flip flops. This project also implemented the use of real life objects unlike previous projects. In this project I learned how to wire a flip flop and use combination logic while bread boarding. I also learned how to wire objects into a bread board.
